Perspective

Two for Tuesday!

Dedicated to Gina .C.

AS YOU ARE

There is a profound and simple quote that goes like this:

"We do not see things as THEY are. We see things as WE are."

At first this sounds terrifying doesn't it?

What is real then?

Who is right?

Where is the truth?

When will you know?

Well, guess what? it is all in you, within YOUR own reality, your own truth, your own knowing. You have the power to see what you want to see; in yourself, in others and in the world.

You.

Have the power!

Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. See joY.

joY is what you want to see and to have. joY is what you want to be. So, really, why would you see or have or be . . . anything else?

Abraham Lincoln said:

"You can complain of a rose bush so full of thorns or you can rejoince in a thorn bush so full of roses."

You see things as they are.

See roses!

UPSIDE DOWN

Have you ever hung upside down, from anywhere, and looked at the ceiling as the floor, the sky as the ground? If you haven't, you should.

When you leave here, maybe do a backbend in your front yard or hang upside down off of your couch. If you do it for long enough, even just a minute or so, you will see a whole new world.

You will see a whole new world as you look look at the same familiar things.

The clouds will become cotton on the blue ground. Light fixtures will stick up out of the floor like little tables. It will make you smile, maybe even laugh. Then - you can take that joY out into your life and start to see other things differently too.

"We begin to learn wisely when we are willing to see from another perspective."

Try upside down.
