Stop
I just came across this quote in my journals. I don't know where I found it but it goes like this:
When his community praised him for his selfless service to others the Rabi said:
“If you stop to help someone else, you know pretty certainly what will happen to that person. So the greater question is: If you do not stop, what will happen to YOU?”
I'm going to try to think about this as I go through my week, and hopefully longer, as I interact with those I love, those I know and with those I've never met.
If we do not stop, what will happen to us?
