Believe

There are some quotes that I paraphrase at the end of this post because I have read and heard these messages so many times over the last eight years that I now have my own words for them . . . and I believe 'em.

I do believe them, yet often find myself trying to defy them too. I defy them when I get unhappy and I do it so that I can place the blame for my unhappiness outside of myself and because in those moments I am not strong. I don't realize my own power.

I say things like:

No, it's money. Money is what makes you happy in this world. If I had more money I would be OK.

I say things like:

No, it's a beautiful home. A beatiful home is what makes you happy in this world. When I have that beautfiul home I will be OK.

I say things like:

No, it's really good friends. Really good freinds are what make you happy in this world. If my friends would not disappoint me, I would be OK.

I say a lot of thigs.

The truth is simply this:

The difference between someone who is struggling and someone who has a fabulous life comes down to one thing - your thoughts. Those who have a great life imagine, think about, talk about and go after - only what they love and want . . . and as much as absolutely possible - they feel genuine love, gratitude and acceptance. They know life isn't happening to them. It's RESPONDING to them.

That's it.

The difference between someone who is struggling and someone who has a fabulous life comes down to one thing - WHAT YOU BELIEVE!
